Permea completes its first ten years of meeting the needs of global CA customers.

During this first decade, Permea has become the world’s leading provider of CA technology. Being a top performer requires a commitment to our customers that rewards us with satisfying results and worldwide friendships.

Permea introduced PRISMÒ Membrane Technology for gaseous separation in 1979 and CA applications followed several years later. Starting with the opening of the first CA room to use a Permea Membrane System in the spring of 1987, the commercial acceptance of this technology has been unparalleled.

Since then, we’ve never looked back. With over 750 systems in six continents and 35 countries around the world, not to mention a few oceans, Permea’s position as the world leader is clearly established. More than 4.9 million bins (103 million boxes) of fruit storage/shipment capacity are equipped with Permea CA Technology. Anyway you look at it, it’s a lot.

And it’s just the beginning.

"You ain’t seen nothing yet!" is, of course, a line made famous by comedian Jimmy Durante. At Permea, it’s more than an oft-heard line. It’s a promise that the next ten years will be more amazing than the last.
