Reliability
The Oxair Gases Pty Ltd PSA Oxygen
generator has been specifically designed for the Australian and International
Markets. A major design consideration was plant reliability. Following is some
additional points regarding the reliability of the plant.
- PSA plants (Both oxygen and nitrogen) have been in operation for in-excess of 30
years with continual design improvements over this time. There are many different
manufacturers throughout the world. Many PSA plants have been in operation for 20 years,
and are still in operation.
- The PSA plant utilises products of proven reliability over years of continuous
operation.
- The only major moving parts of the PSA generators are the cycle switching valves (7 in
total). These valves have been selected for their continuous duty. Each valve will require
servicing every 2 to 3 years under continuous operation (Minimum 8,400 hours per year).
Both ball and wafer valves have been specifically designed for use with PSA plants.
- The process valves and alarm functions are controlled via a PLC, allowing for
integration into existing plant control systems. The PLC WILL NOT lose the
program if power is lost to the plant.
- The Zeolite adsorbent material within the PSA oxygen generator is a NON CONSUMABLE
ITEM, if the maintenance of the PSA generator is performed.
- The PSA generator itself is a LOW MAINTENANCE item requiring filter
elements (2 Sets per Year), and valve seat maintenance ( 1 Set every 2 Years).
