PRISM® Oxygen VSA Systems
Oxair Gases’ Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) Systems provide
state-of-the-art technology for on-site oxygen generation. These systems offer a highly
reliable supply of oxygen and can provide significant cost savings over
cryogenically-produced or hauled-in liquid oxygen.
PRISM VSA Systems can satisfy customer needs over a range of
purities, pressures, and volumes. Optional features are available to meet specific
customer requirements. Modular construction and skid mounting make these systems compact
and easy to install.

Cost-Effective Oxygen Supply
Oxair Gases’ VSA Systems use a patented high-efficiency molecular sieve to selectively
recover oxygen from air. This high-performance sieve significantly reduces the energy
necessary to generate oxygen, making PRISM VSAs the low-cost oxygen source for many
applications.
Oxair Gases’ experienced team of experts is available to evaluate your application,
determine your oxygen requirements, and provide you with the most cost-effective supply
option.
The VSA systems use a proprietary adsorption process for efficient air separation. A
blower draws in ambient air which is compressed and passed through adsorber vessels
containing the high-efficiency molecular sieve. The sieve removes nitrogen, water vapour,
carbon dioxide and other impurities. The result of this process is a concentrated stream
of up to 94% purity oxygen gas. The adsorbed contaminants are removed from the molecular
sieve by reducing the pressure within the adsorber vessels, hence the term vacuum swing
adsorption.
