Pressure Vessels

Industrial Applications
Oxair manufactures certified pressure vessels for high-performance applications, including oil & gas and pipeline sectors. Vessels are designed under AS 1210 – 2010ASME Section VIII Div 1 (with “ASME U” stamp if required), and can be certified to Lloyds or DNV Survey standards.

Specifications & Features

  • Standard pressures: 7–13 Barg, full vacuum, up to 70 Barg (1000 PSIG)
  • Stainless steel or custom builds
  • Off-standard and special designs available
  • QA certified: AS/ANZ ISO 9001:2015

Pressure Vessel Filters & Water Separators

Purpose & Applications
Designed to remove moisture and oil from compressed air streams, preventing damage to downstream equipment and increasing operational efficiency.

Performance & Features

  • Flow rates: 500 SCFM – 10,000 SCFM
  • Operating pressures: 7–35 Barg (100–500 PSIG)
  • Large swing-down flange for element change
  • Internal painting for corrosion protection
  • Water separators in 316 stainless steel
  • Optional high differential pressure alarms and lifting lugs
  • Maximum operating temperature: 100°C (higher on request)
  • Custom air treatment packages available

Mist Eliminators

Industrial Applications
Oxair supplies coalescing mist eliminators and horizontal stainless steel pads to remove oil and water from compressed air systems in industries including oil & gas, chemicals, pulp & paper, plastics, asphalt, cement, automotive, and mining.

How It Works

  • Thick glass fibre beds trap contaminants at multiple stages
  • Self-cleaning design drains contaminants to prevent clogging
  • Maintains low pressure drop for efficiency

Specifications & Features

  • Flow rates: 100–10,000 SCFM
  • Operating pressures: 100–500 PSIG
  • Removes oil and water aerosols, 100% of particles ≥5 microns
  • Long element life with low pressure drop (~1 psi / 0.07 bar)
  • Housed in AS-1210 or ASME V111 stamped pressure vessels
  • OptionalSeparator Failure Protection kit for enhanced system safety

Carbon Adsorption Towers

Purpose & Applications
Designed to remove oil vapour and other hydrocarbon contaminants from compressed air streams using activated carbon adsorbent. Commonly used in industries requiring extremely low hydrocarbon concentrations.

How It Works

  • Compressed air enters from the bottom and passes upward through the carbon bed
  • Activated carbon adsorbs impurities, producing clean air at outlet

Specifications & Features

  • Single pressure vessel (tower) filled with activated carbon
  • Large beds for sufficient contact time and desired purity
  • Separate fill and drain ports for easy carbon replacement
  • No piping disconnection required
  • Stainless steel screens and diffusers (top & bottom)
  • Carbon life: minimum 3 years under constant operation

Applications

Oil & gas

Chemical processing

Manufacturing

Petrochemical

Pulp & paper

Automotive
