How It Works

  • Compressed air passes through two desiccant towers filled with activated alumina.
  • The desiccant adsorbs water from the compressed air.
  • When a tower becomes saturated, the system switches to the second tower and regenerates the offline bed.
  • A portion of compressed air purges the offline desiccant.
  • By maintaining the dew point above air temperature, the system prevents liquid formation in downstream lines and equipment.
